Multi-talented actor, director, producer and writer Nikki DeLoach

Nikki DeLoach

NIKKI DELOACH – Born in a small town in South Georgia, Nikki DeLoach always knew she wanted to be in entertainment. She started dancing at the age of four, quickly adding singing, modeling and acting to her repertoire. All her hard work paid off when at age 12, DeLoach became a member of The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling. After MMC, DeLoach spent several years in Los Angeles pursuing acting and landed a starring role opposite Mark Wahlberg and Bill Paxton in the feature film Traveller and the TV series Misery Loves Company. She also played Anthony LaPaglia’s daughter in the television movie Never Give Up: The Jimmy V Story. In 1997, DeLoach put her acting career on hold to enter the world of pop music, signing with RCA and BMG Records to become part of the girl group Innosense.

DeLoach later returned to Hollywood and has enjoyed a successful and diverse career. DeLoach’s credits include her starring role on MTV’s critically acclaimed series Awkward. DeLoach has also guest starred on some of television’s biggest hit shows including NCIS, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, CSI, CSI: NY, Cold Case, Mad Men, Without a Trace and 9-1-1, among many others. She was also a series regular on the popular shows Windfall and North Shore.

Her films include Love & Other Drugs, Flying Lessons, opposite Maggie Grace and Hal Holbrook, and the French comedy Hollywoo. Hallmark Channel viewers will recognize DeLoach from her many starring roles in the network’s original movies including The Perfect Catch, A Dream of Christmas, Our Holiday Story, Home Turf, A Grand Ole Opry Christmas and Love Takes Flight, which premiered as a Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation. On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, DeLoach starred in the holiday movies Two Turtle Doves, Cranberry Christmas, Five More Minutes, The Gift of Peace and A World Record Christmas. Additionally, she stars in the popular Curious Caterer Mysteries franchise. She used her knowledge working as a creative executive at LD Entertainment to pivot into development and producing. DeLoach developed, executive produced and starred in Reunited at Christmas, Taking the Reins and Family History Mysteries: Buried Past. Along with her writing partner, Megan McNulty, she wrote Christmas for Keeps as well as the ongoing mystery franchise True Justice on Hallmark Mystery, which they also developed. The pair also wrote Christmas with The Foxes and The Shell Collector for FOX. DeLoach was a member of iWe, a coalition of women spreading awareness and creating opportunities for women behind the camera. DeLoach directed her first short film entitled, “The Slip,” and after shadowing numerous directors on hit TV shows and films, she cannot wait to step behind the camera again.

Outside of acting, DeLoach is dedicated to giving back. She served as the President of The Foundation Board of Trustees for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for the last three years. She also serves on the Advocacy Committee and the Research and Innovation Committee. Recently, DeLoach took on a new role at the hospital, co-chairing the largest fundraising initiative in honor of 125 years of CHLA. She is a passionate spokesperson for people with Alzheimer’s, producing the annual fundraising event “The Dance to End Alz,” with her friend Ashley Williams, to raise money for dementia research. DeLoach also serves on the board of Mind What Matters, an organization focused on providing financial support to Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers. Last year, DeLoach became a co-host of the Mind What Matters podcast.

DeLoach is in development as a writer, producer and actor for several projects and is working on her first book. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Ryan Goodell, and two young sons, Hudson and Bennett.

Caregiver

After graduating from culinary school in 2001, I honed my skills in professional kitchens. I have enjoyed specializing in creating delicious and healthy dishes. In 2018 when my father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, I took the role as his primary caregiver while continuing to work as a chef. Motivated to help my father to improve his quality of life, I researched diet and nutrition to fit his health needs. Today, I share my knowledge by teaching cooking classes for the Salud Pa Ti wellness program held at Plaza de la Raza.
