Spotlight: Community Outreach Educators

Our community outreach educators are dedicated individuals that are focused on helping communities of color understand the growing need for dementia education and assistance.  Every day, these dedicated individuals help us deliver comprehensive programs, education and advocacy designed to reduce the immense burden related with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Focusing on diverse communities is imperative as the numbers of Latinos and Asians living with Alzheimer’s will double by 2030, and African Americans living with Alzheimer’s will increase by over 30% in the same time frame.

Meet Angie Yeh, Manager, Asia Pacific Islander Services. Angie knows firsthand how difficult it can be to have a family member with Alzheimer’s. She discusses the importance of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month & how innovative tools like the FACES OF CAREGIVING video series can help reach people in our community.
